With Cape Town at our backs we’ll land in the modernised city of Upington where we’ll venture into the bush to spend the night at the Augrabies Falls National Park, famous for the Black Rhino. Next stop will be Okavango swamps. In the midst of the Kalahari sands, the delta is home to prey and predator, each serving a purpose to the maintenance of this land of islands and water.

 
You’ll see hippos, herds of large game and the big cats all running free under towering trees.
Leaving the wetlands of the delta we’ll head to the Chobe National Park, which has one of the greatest concentrations of game on the African continent. With a variety of unique eco systems to explore, the main attraction here is the 120, 000 strong elephant population. Following the tusked giants our next stop will be the Victoria Falls. The 1 708metre wide
curtain of water transforms the placid Zambezi River into a roaring waterfall, the spray of which rises above the gorge, Mosi-oa-tunya the smoke that thunders as the locals call it. Adrenalin junkies of the world are attracted here to test their stuff white-water rafting, bungi jumping, abseiling and other exciting activities.
 
 

Leaving the ‘ smoke that thunders’ we’ll arrive at the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga. Few regions in the world can match the beauty and serenity of the lowveld and escarpment. This is truly one of South Africa’s best destinations as it captures the hearts of all who visit with its picturesque landscape and tribal legends. The last stop on this trip is the historical town of Kimberley where one can see evidence of the diamond rush that left the famous hole that characterises this place.
We’ll return to Cape Town and if you’re not lucky to find any diamonds you needn’t worry, as the memories from your safari will be priceless.
